It's hard to imagine being a child and having to deal with the court system, but unfortunately that's a reality in today's world.

The McDowell Guardian ad Litem Program is always looking for individuals who can serve as advocates for children.

Advocates will help be the voice for abused and neglected children in McDowell County. Guardian ad Litem volunteers will need to dedicate hours each month to the children that they help speak for.

Volunteers are asked to dedicate at least a year to the program.

If you think that you can help be the voice for a child and speak on their behalf, please email michele.a.rink@nccourts.org.
