The winter months can be tough on the bones and high on boredom, but there is one local organization that can keep you busy and warm.

Arrowhead Artists and Artisans League is currently in need of help in their gallery in downtown Old Fort. Can you help them meet their needs?

Gallery Volunteer

Arrowhead Artists and Artisans League is in need of volunteers who are willing and able to work in Arrowhead Gallery and Studios, in Old Fort, for 4 or more hours a month.

Volunteers will either help open or close the gallery, greet visitors and help make sales.

They will receive training on how the gallery conducts sales and inventory.  They will also receive in-depth information about workshops, classes and shows, so that they can share that information with individuals visiting the gallery.

Individuals interested in helping should call (828) 668-1100 or email helensullivan@wildblue.net.

Newsletter Data Gatherer

Arrowhead Artists and Artisans League is currently in need of one or more individuals who can contact the gated communities, senior centers and other congregate areas in McDowell and Buncombe Counties to create a list of points of contact for newsletters. This will help the league send them information about workshops, classes and gallery shows.

Arrowhead would provide the bullet points/text for the person to use to make the request.

This is a short-term volunteer opportunity that will be completed once a ilst is formed.

Individuals interested in helping should call (828) 668-1100 or email helensullivan@wildblue.net.

Private Tour Guide

Individuals are needed to conduct private tours for visiting groups at the gallery. All tour guides would be trained and briefed on different things going on before giving a tour at the gallery.
